The video essay “Sculpture in Video” examines the situation of meeting of two media: sculpture and video, and confronts one’s experience with what the camera sees. We are interested in the way a sculpture can appear in the space of a video, in the ways it changes, we want to know when a video recording is a sculpture’s representation and when it reinterprets it as part of an image. The image montage is created from parts of author videos, shots of sculptures, 3D modelations and animations. The audio track of the collage is compiled from fragments of expert essays and interviews and is combined with music and sounds.
